Purpose Built And Ready For ICM
The Scottish Event Campus sits right in the heart of the city, where participants want to be, and easily connects to riverside walkways, all accommodation, and all cultural and social activity.
As an award winning, publicly owned venue, the SEC goes far beyond the bricks and mortar. Its partnership mentality means its priority is the wellbeing and the positive experience of the participants. Inside, there are dedicated, expert teams, who will always go the extra mile to create the best event experience for participants. The SEC’s successful track record for staging extra-large international association meetings will ensure that ICM2030 will be in a safe pair of hands.

Compact and Connected
Inclusive and Welcoming
The SEC is an inherently inclusive and accessible space. Its glazed, street-like central lobby is open to all, with only the conference spaces themselves restricted to registered participants. This makes the SEC particularly partner friendly, and child friendly. The organisers will also put in place additional childcare facilities, and both mindfulness and prayer rooms. Press and security arrangements will be managed between the SEC venue and our PCO, who both have extensive experience in managing events of global media significance.
Accessibility
Commitment to Accessibility
The SEC is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all visitors. This commitment is supported through ongoing collaboration with accessibility organisations and recognised by a Gold accessibility award.
Accessible Venue Design
The SEC campus, including the OVO Hydro, SEC Armadillo, and SEC Centre, offers step-free access throughout key areas. Facilities include wide entrances, lifts to most levels, and spacious concourses. Dedicated accessible seating areas and viewing platforms are available across venues.
Wheelchair Access & Mobility Support
Visitors may use their own wheelchairs, with storage available during events if required. A limited number of wheelchairs are available for loan.
Accessible Facilities
The venue provides accessible toilets, including Changing Places facilities, and low-level service counters at catering and retail outlets. Assistance dogs are welcomed across all areas of the campus.
Additional Accessibility Services
The SEC offers a range of support services, including Sunflower lanyards for visitors with non-visible disabilities and sensory backpacks containing items such as ear defenders and fidget tools. Selected events may also provide British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation, audio description, and captioning, subject to advance request.
Trusted and Experienced
We are built for big moments.
From welcoming 30,000 participants at COP 26, to regularly hosting large academic conferences of over 6,000 attendees, the SEC has the experience and the expertise to deliver world-class events.
We looking forward to welcoming you to ICM 2030.
